Preparing heart and mind for the next 19 days of the Baha’i Fast I am excited to dedicate this period to purity. Going through daily ups and downs one often finds one’s self disheartened and anxious and it can easily become a pattern of life. But this is the time to refocus our hearts, to think pure and joyful thoughts, detach ourselves from daily worries, live life more simple, more serene and more positive, love our tender souls and embrace the light.

The elderly lady is very proud of her grandson! Apparently he is a very talented IT specialist to be. Runs the school radio and the school newspaper too. He shoots movies in which his loving grandma often plays the role of the victim. She explains that he’s been nagging her to have this old motherboard framed. She would do anything for her grandson, she talks so enthusiastically about her. With the shop assistant we listen to her stories with joy and get even more stunned when at the end she says he is only 12 years old 🙂

“Out of the huts of history’s shame I rise Up from a past that’s rooted in pain I rise I’m a black ocean, leaping and wide, Welling and swelling I bear in the tide. Leaving behind nights of terror and fear I rise Into a daybreak that’s wondrously clear I rise Bringing the gifts that my ancestors gave, I am the dream and the hope of the slave. I rise I rise I rise.” – Maya Angelou

“I love the night passionately. I love it as I love my country, or my mistress, with an instinctive, deep, and unshakeable love. I love it with all my senses: I love to see it, I love to breathe it in, I love to open my ears to its silence, I love my whole body to be caressed by its blackness. Skylarks sing in the sunshine, the blue sky, the warm air, in the fresh morning light.” – Guy de Maupassant

You have never seen such a cool exhibit before. At Budapest’s #Kieselbach gallery, the exhibit “1000 frames, 10 pictures” brings together frames collected over 35 years of the gallery owner. But as he says the show also tells the story of more than 200 years of Hungarian framing tradition.  Walking among these walls, actually over 1500 picture frames, one stops a bit to think about their individual stories, the pictures they held in the past and their future of framing something beautiful to come.  The frame show is only open this week but if you are in Budapest, it is […]
