“It was right before the lucky 13th birthday of my shop that I moved it over to Hollán Ernő street. It was a very busy October, we had just returned from a longer shopping trip from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Burma, Laos, and other times Morocco and Tunesia, these are our most important sources of jewelry. We only buy handmade silver jewelry, produced in small, family workshops, therefore we basically only have one piece of each kind. The most beautiful moments are those when a piece of jewelry finds its new owner in my gallery, when a new, beautiful bond […]

“Happiness means that other people can’t give it to me but they can share it with me, and I can’t help but laugh and smile when I am around these types of people. I am happy when I am around my friends and family, loved ones, they bring joy into my life. The true source of happiness is God and service to others. Ice cream and cotton candy also make me happy. El carcel makes me happy. Making friends makes me happy. Going to school makes me happy. Doing the step dance makes me happy.”

Kálmán Confectionery, a small treasure in the village of Zsámbék, is located about half an hour from Budapest. Hard to choose what cakes not to buy for a delicious weekend afternoon. And no, I don’t think we are related, though regular discounts when eating their yummy cakes would be very welcome☺️
Rose, salted caramel, mango
Memories of childhood when the pantry at my grandparents’ house was filled with jars of beautiful apricot jar, peach and raspberry. When my grandma would be – from the early morning – baking amazing cakes and the fragrance of different jams would fill the house. I loved those weekends. I hope she is smiling now as the pantry is being filled up with apricot and blueberry, plum and tangerine jam.
