Favourite spot

In summer, one of the favourite spots for young people in Budapest is Liberty Bridge. Sitting on the lower parts of the bridge, even picnicking there while enjoying the evening splendours of the city.

“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
If you visited Budapest in the past (as unfortunately you cannot at the moment), most certainly you visited the Central Market Hall, located at the foot of Liberty Bridge on the Pest side. I am lucky to live nearby myself. Monika works here promoting a lovely Hungarian restaurant. She is dressed in a most beautiful, Hungarian, richly embroidered dress Kalocsai design. When at the market, it is a delight to stop at the entrance to talk to this delightful woman.
“When summer opens, I see how fast it matures, and fear it will be short; but after the heats of July and August, I am reconciled, like one who has had his swing, to the cool of autumn.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
“He who works with his hands is a laborer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist.” – Saint Francis of Assisi
In all seasons You stand in peace. For all reasons You love your calm.
“A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight.” – Robertson Davies
“Love is the virtue of the Heart, Sincerity is the virtue of the Mind, Decision is the virtue of the Will, Courage is the virtue of the Spirit.” – Frank Lloyd Wright
“The longer I live the more beautiful life becomes. If you foolishly ignore beauty, you will soon find yourself without it. Your life will be impoverished. But if you invest in beauty, it will remain with you all the days of your life.” – Frank Lloyd Wright
The nicest thing about taking a holiday at home has been exploring Budapest. Long walks, calm moments, checking out areas I hardly ever visited before coz my paths normally don’t take there. I took this photo at the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music. It is a magical place: for students and lovers of music🎼
