“My first memory of Budapest was coming in the cab from the airport driving past the Chain Bridge. Pest on one side of the city and seeing the hill with the tunnel and the funicular on the other reminded me of my home town of Pittsburgh. That’s why I think we felt immediately at home here. That and the fact that we brought our two macskas (cats) with us!
I’m really sad to leave Budapest now – I’ll miss all the choices of lemonade and kürtöskalács ; the opera; running on Tóth Árpád promenade and Margit Island; but mostly, all the wonderful friends we’ve made here! But we will see them all in Rome!”
