It reminded me immediately of my mother who was born on 16 July 1948❤️ The gentle, handwoven cloth, the finely embroidered little roses and tulips, the still vibrant colours of the threads after 75 years they brought back memories of the warm and selfless nature of my dear mom. I thought about her childhood spent in the countryside, all the things she learnt from her parents, her youth, her joy and the beauty of her soul. She left of nearly three years ago but I […]

To feel gratitude each day To connect to that LOVE
“This is a towel made by my maternal grandmother. I admit whenever I hold it in my hands, tears come to my eyes. Her name was Mária Gál. “Your friend is your needs answered. He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving. And he is your board and your fireside. For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.” – Gibran
“Before the moon I am, what a woman is, a woman of power, a woman’s power, deeper than the roots of trees, deeper than the roots of islands, older than the Making, older than the moon.” – Ursula K. Le Guin

Day-to-day life became so narrow, certain freedoms shrank… motherhood is once instinctive and learned, ancient and redefined at every passing moment. Finding harmony between these dualities and extremes is both necessary and impossible. What am I learning? What is the daily struggle? I am learning to be more accepting of myself, more than ever before, and to be present whenever I can. I am learning to look at productivity and what gets done in a day […]
