Career

“Coming to Hungary back in 2006 was a family decision: my husband, a CEU student at the time, was offered a job in Budapest so we moved here. Having been a recruiter in the business sector in Romania, I suddenly found myself on the other side as a job seeker without a visa and not speaking the language. But CEU believed in my potential and hired me as a career advisor to help students and graduates along their career quest.
Now I get to work with international students every day, who very often look for jobs in countries other than their own, like I did once. I get to meet brilliant young people, some of them following their dream, some of them still searching for it. And I get to learn from CEU students and alumni just as much as I do from my colleagues and other counseling professionals. You can’t imagine a greater satisfaction than receiving a message like ‘Hey, I got the job! Thanks for helping!’ or ‘I’m really happy working here’. These emails make my day!”
