I sometimes ride with Uber and I like these guys. Very helpful, honest and most of the times easy to strike up a friendly conversation. Yesterday packed up with bags I ordered a car. We started talking and the driver told me about recently losing his father and how much he would love to call him and talk to him sometimes.
I tried to comfort him by saying that I believe in the life of the soul, that our essence lives on but then I realized oftentimes it is more important to just listen and be compassionate with another’s feelings, rather than trying to offer a solution. And it teaches a lot about one’s self as well, how we deal with similar emotional challenges and if we are able to trust another like this brave young man who opened up so vulnerably.
