love-02

András has been making insoles for people for 60 years. When I visited him at the clinic today, we started talking and he shared with me his wonderful life story.
He is 75 now and his story all began at 14. Having lost his parents, he grew up in an orphanage where due to a fortunate incident when talking to the director of the orphanage led him to the factory where he learnt his profession.
“First it was difficult to get used to the job,” he said “but I love my work because I get a lot of compliments from people and it’s a good feeling to know that my insoles are helping them.”
“In the 60s many children in Hungary suffered from a disease that crippled them. It makes me happy that thanks to these insoles they learnt to walk again,” he explained with a special radiance in his eyes.
I’m thankful that he made my insoles as well and even more so for the honor of meeting him.
