She was his muse, friend and companion for some 50 years. Painter Frigyes Frank said of his wife, Mimi: “I painted her in the most diverse of positions: waking up in the morning, reading at the table, watering plants, while combing her hair, as she was sleeping, resting or looking at me.” Frank’s picture “Mimi in the deckchair” captured me, it is uniquely beautiful.
